Depth-Oriented School Counseling Duration: 8 Weeks Course Description: This course explores how depth psychology, humanistic education, psychoanalytic thought, and restorative practice can be integrated into school counseling to address student well-being, school violence, learning equity, and systemic alienation. Emphasis is placed on cultivating emotionally safe learning environments, culturally responsive interventions, and school-wide programs that align with both relational and academic goals. Learning Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 1. Integrate depth psychological, humanistic, and psychoanalytic principles into school counseling frameworks. 2. Identify the systemic and psychological roots of school violence, school refusal, and alienation. 3. Design and evaluate relationally attuned, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive interventions. 4. Engage meaningfully in school-wide reform, restorative practices, and instructional advocacy. 5. Apply student-centered and nontraditional methods of assessment, support, and transformation.
