Jun 9, 2025 - Aug 17, 2025

About

Depth-Oriented Medical Care Duration: 8 Weeks Course Description: This course examines the integration of depth psychology, humanistic principles, and somatic awareness into medical and health care settings. Students will explore whole-person healing models that go beyond symptom treatment, focusing on embodied presence, intersubjective care, intuitive healing practices, and the tensions between managed care systems and human dignity. Special attention is given to relational, mind–body, and experiential approaches to restoring wholeness in clinical contexts. Learning Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 1. Understand whole-person models of health care rooted in humanistic and depth-oriented frameworks. 2. Explore the therapeutic use of embodied awareness and somatic presence in clinical relationships. 3. Apply relational and experiential methods within complex, often dehumanizing medical systems. 4. Integrate clinical intuition, intersubjectivity, and ethical presence into mind–body healing work. 5. Design compassionate, person-centered interventions for health care contexts.
