Humanistic and Awe-Based Education Duration: 8 Weeks Course Description: This course explores the philosophical, psychological, and pedagogical foundations of humanistic and awe-based education. Drawing on existential psychology, awe theory, and contemplative pedagogy, students will critically examine dominant models of education and co-create a vision for learner-centered, meaning-rich, and relationally grounded education systems that honor the full humanity of both students and teachers. Learning Objectives By the end of the course, participants will be able to: 1. Understand and articulate the principles of humanistic and existential education. 2. Explore the psychological and philosophical role of awe in the learning process. 3. Apply student-centered and contemplative methods to educational and training settings. 4. Critique mechanistic and dehumanizing models of schooling. 5. Design educational practices that foster creativity, autonomy, well-being, and reverence.
