Depth-Oriented Spiritual Care Duration: 8 Weeks Course Description: This course explores spiritually integrative care through the lens of depth psychology, existential-humanistic thought, and multicultural awareness. Students will learn to engage clients’ spiritual lives through presence-based, inclusive, and relational approaches that honor complexity, cultural meaning systems, and existential suffering. Themes of identity, religious wounding, spiritual transformation, and sacred experience are interwoven with therapeutic practices and case reflections. Learning Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 1. Understand the foundational philosophies underlying depth-oriented and humanistic approaches to spirituality in care. 2. Explore culturally constructed images of the divine and their implications for identity, trauma, and healing. 3. Engage diverse spiritual and religious worldviews with existential empathy and clinical sensitivity. 4. Apply experiential methods to spiritual exploration and wounding within therapeutic practice. 5. Synthesize theory and practice through case study analysis and ethical spiritual integration.
