Announcing: Corps of Depth Healers Certificate Program!

We are excited to announce that on April 14, 2025, we will commence our inaugural biannual Corps of Depth Healers Certificate Program. This is a unique opportunity for our General Members to advance their expertise in applying depth psychology to social healing.

Eligibility and Application Process:

General members whose educational backgrounds have been vetted by the directors will be invited to complete this free certificate program. If you are currently a General Member of the Corps, an application will be sent to the email address we have on file. Eligibility for the program requires, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the helping professions (e.g., psychology, social work, nursing, etc.).

Upon successful completion, members will advance to our Depth Healer Membership level, gaining exclusive benefits and access to a deeper community of practitioners.

Program Overview:

The 16-week certificate program consists of two main sections:

Section I: Core Principles of Social Healing (8 Weeks)

  • Part I: Theoretical Foundations
In this section, members will examine the philosophical, psychological, cultural, spiritual, and systemic dimensions of social healing, addressing issues such as collective trauma, marginalization, and the loss of communal rituals. The section also highlights the impact of political structures and community-based healing efforts, ultimately guiding participants toward a depth-oriented model for fostering emotional restoration in individuals and society.

  • Part II: Pathways to Applied Social Healing
This section builds on theoretical foundations by exploring practical, applied approaches to social healing. Members will engage with case studies, narrative therapy techniques, existential-integrative methods, and trauma-informed interventions. Through guided discussions and interactive learning, participants will deepen their understanding of how to implement depth psychology in real-world contexts.

At the conclusion of Section I, members will complete a midway assessment to evaluate their comprehension and readiness to progress to Section II.

Section II: Areas of Emphasis (8 Weeks)

In this section, members will choose their area of concentration, most likely in an area where they are already working. This section is designed to help members learn how depth psychology can foster "emotionally restorative relationships" across different sectors of society. By emotionally restorative relationships, we mean relationships where individuals feel heard and seen and that address the root causes of their struggles.

Choose from the following areas of emphasis:

  1. Bridge Building Dialogues

  2. Depth-Oriented Social Work & Family Systems

  3. Depth-Oriented Spiritual Care

  4. Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy for Underserved Communities

  5. Depth-Oriented Medical Care

  6. Awe-Based Environmental Psychology

  7. Relational Approaches to Social Justice

  8. Life Coaching & Mentoring for Underserved Populations

  9. Humanistic and Awe-Based Education

  10. Humanistic Approaches to Management & Diplomacy

  11. Depth-Oriented School Counseling

Final Case Study Project & Town Hall Discussion

At the conclusion of the program, members will complete a culminating case study paper where they apply depth psychology principles to a real or hypothetical case study within their chosen area of emphasis. Members will also have the opportunity to present and discuss their case study at the Fall Commencement Town Hall Meeting, fostering dialogue and peer learning within the community.

Benefits for Depth Healer Members:

  • Access to curated readings and videos featuring leading depth healers—some of them honorary members of the Corps.

  • Membership in our discussion forum, where you can network, collaborate, and share ideas with like-minded individuals.
