Executive Director Kirk Schneider introduces the Certificate Program

Welcome to the Corps of Depth Healers Certificate Program. This is an intensive course designed for individuals in the helping fields who seek to learn more about and apply depth principles of practice to social healing.

This program is ideal for those who wish to learn more about how to apply existential, humanistic, and psychodynamic practices to broader social issues—such as those that arise in psychotherapy, family systems, coaching, education, medical care, or political conflict.

This certificate program is also a movement toward cultivating emotionally restorative relationships in a world increasingly marked by emotionally impoverished relationships which are fueling so much of the human destructiveness we see all about us. In a time of widespread disconnection, psychological fragmentation, and social despair, we recognize the urgent need to rehumanize our ways of relating, being, and healing.

Guided by the spirit of George A. Miller’s visionary call in his 1969 APA presidential address to "give psychology away to the people," this program embodies a commitment to making the insights of depth psychology accessible beyond the walls of academia or the consultation room. We strongly believe that increasing access to the kinds of relationships that restore dignity, meaning, and emotional vitality is imperative for the viability of our society.

This is our offering in response to the desperate times we find ourselves in—times that call for courage, care, and collective healing. Through this program, we aim to foster a community of practitioners, caregivers, and changemakers who can bring the soul of psychology back into everyday life, relationships, and communities.

Program Highlights:

• Designed for Helping Professionals – Open to individuals with at least a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in psychology, social work, nursing, or related fields.
